Overview
Restday is a Chrome extension that autofills Workday job application forms in your browser. This policy explains what data Restday handles, where it goes, and who it is shared with.
Data stored only on your device
The profile you save — your name, contact details, work history, education, resume, and related fields — is stored locally in your browser using Chrome storage. It is used only to fill forms on the page you are applying through. It is never sent to Restday's servers or to anyone else. Uninstalling the extension removes this data from your device.
Data Restday collects
To offer a free tier with a fixed number of autofills, Restday generates a random, anonymous identifier the first time you use it and stores it in your browser. When you run an autofill, the extension sends this identifier and an updated fill count to our backend (Supabase) so we can track how many free fills remain. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any profile data, and we do not use it to identify you personally.
Payments
If you upgrade to a paid subscription, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and handles your payment details directly under its own privacy policy. Restday never receives or stores your full card number. We store your subscription status and a license key associated with your anonymous identifier so paid access can be recognized across your devices.
The Restday website
If you enter your email to join our updates list on the Restday website, we store that email (via Supabase) to send occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time by contacting us. Our website uses Vercel's privacy-friendly analytics to measure aggregate traffic and performance. These website features are separate from the extension.
Who your data is shared with
Restday relies on a small number of service providers to operate: Supabase (backend storage of the anonymous identifier, fill counts, subscription status, and website email list), Stripe (payment processing), and Vercel (website hosting and aggregate analytics). We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising or any purpose unrelated to running Restday.
Security
All data transmitted between the extension, our website, and our service providers is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Retention and your choices
Your local profile stays on your device until you edit or delete it, or uninstall the extension. To request deletion of the anonymous identifier, subscription record, or email associated with your use of Restday, contact us at restdayapp@gmail.com and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change how Restday handles data, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above.
